We're taking a Rest... but we'll be back!

On Sunday evening, 22 March 2020, the Prime Minister of Australia announced tough new regulations in an effort to enforce social distancing and help combat the spread of Covid-19 (Coronavirus). These regulations involved the closure of all pubs, clubs, restaurants, cafes, casinos, cinemas and gyms.

For Wine for Dudes, this means that the Margaret River wineries, breweries and restaurants that we visit on our wine tours, can no longer provide the services required for us to be able to operate our tours, and as such Wine for Dudes must cease operations of the best Margaret River wine tour, until it is safe for such restrictions to be lifted.

How You Can Help...

  1. If you have a wine tour booked, or a holiday anywhere for that matter, we would like to suggest that you take advantage of the #Don'tCancelPostpone movement, encouraging people to help save the tourism industry by rescheduling your bookings, rather than cancelling.
  2. Practice Social Distancing, and limit your outings and social gatherings until we are in a better position to contain the virus.
  3. Encourage the WA government to Shut Us Down NOW! We are in the unique position of being isolated by desert... at the rate things are going, it will become essential to put us in an extended lock down at some stage... the sooner we commit to that, the shorter the lock down period, and the sooner we can get our jobs back!
  4. Keep Buying Wine Direct from the Producer - Many of the venues we visit on our tours are family-owned, boutique estates and micro-breweries.  We ask you to keep supporting these venues by taking advantage of amazing online sales, many with free postage throughout the Margaret River region, and often Australia!

As things are happening rapidly, there is no answer as to when we will be allowed to cruise the beautiful wineries of Margaret River again, therefore we will be taking things one step at a time, and to date have cancelled all tours until the end of April 2020. Customers have been contacted via email and given the opportunity to receive a refund, or a credit voucher. Tours from May onward, will be reviewed nearer to the time.

To our team, customers and industry colleagues, thank you for your ongoing support, this has been so incredibly difficult for everyone, and we can only wish you to keep safe and healthy until we can see you again!

We got this!
